Marci Davoll

Marci Davoll serves as Executive Director of Allies Colorado, Inc., which is our newest location that opened in July 2008.  Marci approached Krystal and Elise about opening an Allies office in Colorado, after seeing how our programs and support services have positively transformed the lives of so many people with special needs in New Jersey.  Marci wanted to extend Allies’ high standard of care to the individuals in Colorado—and after a year of planning that is just what she did!

Over the past year, Marci has been overseeing all the operations of the office while spreading the word about Allies innovative support programs to families with special needs across Colorado.  She has coordinated a successful residential services program that already provides housing solutions to over 50 individuals throughout the state.  She also created a supported employment program, as well as community access and supported living services that provide individuals with special needs in Colorado the level of care they need to achieve their dreams.

Marci’s passion for the field was ignited in 1991 after having lunch with a friend that worked with the developmentally disabled community.  Marci’s friend introduced her to some of the remarkable people that her organization supported.  Marci was taken with them instantly.  She realized at that moment that serving individuals with special needs was her life’s calling.  She decided to leave her position as a successful businesswoman and entrepreneur and begin working in the field.  Since then, she has held positions in a number of organizations and companies that work with individuals with special needs. 

Marci started her work with the disabled as the Division Employment and Development Specialist for a major company, overseeing programs in six states for a major company.  She coupled her strong business skills with the needs of the people she served and developed the very first program for employing people that are developmentally disabled.  From there, she moved over to the agency-side, serving as vocational director and eventually the executive director of one of the largest state agencies supporting people with special needs.  Now at Allies, Marci puts all of these vast experiences into practice by growing and developing our newest location in Colorado.
